Adelaide United A-League Women’s Head Coach Theo Tsiounis has spent the off-season out in the local football community, visiting Women’s National Premier League (WNPL) clubs across South Australia to connect with coaches, players and volunteers while sharing insights from the professional environment.
Across a series of club visits throughout June and July, Tsiounis joined senior women’s training sessions at Adelaide Comets, Campbelltown City, Modbury Vista, West Adelaide, Flinders United and Cove FC, delivering sessions and providing an inside look at the standards, principles and training methods used within Adelaide United’s A-League Women program.
The initiative forms part of the Club’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships across the South Australian football landscape, while creating opportunities for local coaches and players to learn from the professional game.
By engaging directly with clubs on the training pitch, Tsiounis was able to share practical coaching knowledge, answer questions and provide insight into the demands of the A-League Women environment, helping bridge the gap between grassroots and the professional level.
Grassroots football remains the foundation of the game, with countless volunteers, coaches and administrators dedicating their time to creating opportunities for players throughout South Australia. Adelaide United is proud to support those efforts and continue fostering strong connections within the local football community.
