Adelaide United’s Young Reds are set to take on some of world football’s biggest academies at the 2026 Otten Innovation Cup in Eindhoven this weekend.
The prestigious youth tournament, hosted at the PSV Training Centre, will see United face SE Palmeiras, PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United during the group stage.
All three Adelaide United group-stage matches will be streamed live via the Club’s YouTube channel, with coverage beginning approximately five minutes before kick-off. Please note, the coverage is being provided by PSV Eindhoven and has no commentary.

Innovative rules return for 2026
This year’s Otten Innovation Cup will once again feature a number of innovative game rules, in collaboration with the KNVB.
The modified game rules that will be applied are:
Effective playing time
Games consist of two 20-minute halves, with the clock stopped whenever play is stopped.
Yellow cards and time penalties
Not every yellow card automatically results in a time penalty. For certain offences, a player receives a yellow card, while other offences are punished with a four-minute time penalty.
Dribble-in
When the ball crosses the sideline, it is not thrown in but instead restarted with a dribble-in.
Self-pass
For free kicks, goal kicks and corner kicks, the taker is allowed to touch the ball again immediately before another player has touched it.
Flying substitutions
Teams are allowed unlimited substitutions. Changes can take place during the match, with one player substituted at a time and a minimum of 10 seconds between substitutions.
The modified format will add another dimension to the Young Reds’ experience as they test themselves against some of the world’s leading academy programs in Eindhoven.
