Murray and Rossi commit to Reds to 2028

Adelaide United can confirm Holly Murray and Carina Rossi have signed new contracts, keeping them with the Club until the end of the 2027/28 A-League Women season.

Murray joined the Reds from Canberra United ahead of last season, with the 22-year-old defender making eight appearances before a leg injury interrupted her campaign.

Murray expressed her excitement at returning for another season in Red.

“I’m really excited to be returning to Adelaide United for another season. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed by the club, my teammates and the fans.

“Last season was an important one for my development, both as a player and as a person, and I’m grateful for everything Adelaide has given me.

“I’m excited to keep building on that, continue improving, and see what we can achieve together this season.”

Rossi arrived in October following a standout season with Box Hill United in the NPLW Victoria, with the promising 19-year-old forward going on to feature 12 times for the Reds.

Rossi scored her first A-League Women goal in Adelaide’s memorable comeback win away to Newcastle Jets, highlighting her potential in her debut season with the Club.

Rossi highlighted her enthusiasm to continue last year’s momentum.

“I’m really excited to be staying at Adelaide United for another season.

“Last year gave me so many opportunities to learn and grow away from home, and I’m grateful to everyone at the club for their support and belief in me. I really enjoyed my first season and being part of such a great group of girls.

“I’m looking forward to building on last season, continuing to develop, and pushing for even greater success together this year.”

Adelaide United Football Director, Mitch van Gellekom, said it was pleasing to have both players locked in for next season.

“It’s great news for the Club to have both Holly and Carina commit for next season,” van Gellekom said.

“They are two young players with great potential, and we’re excited to see them continue their development with us.

“We can’t wait to have them back with the group and look forward to seeing what they can bring in the year ahead.”
