Adelaide United has confirmed its coaching and support staff for the 2026/27 Ninja A-League Women’s season, with Head Coach Theo Tsiounis leading a group bringing experience across senior football, youth development, education and player performance.
Assistant Coach Dion Kirk progressed through Football SA and SASI pathways before earning Adelaide United Youth MVP honours. His playing career spans Campbelltown City, Raiders, Croydon, Modbury Jets and West Adelaide, with four NPL SA championships at Campbelltown and further championship and cup success with South Melbourne and Bentleigh Greens.
A Soccer Academy teacher at Roma Mitchell Secondary College, Kirk brings Football SA player development and coach education experience, alongside coaching School Sport SA’s Under-12 boys and Under-18 girls. He reunites with Tsiounis after working together at the school, in representative football and at West Adelaide, where Kirk served as an assistant coach.
Nick Bouzalas joins as Performance Analyst/Assistant Coach, bringing coaching experience across youth and senior football with West Adelaide, MetroStars, Croydon FC and Fulham United.
A former senior assistant at MetroStars who was appointed Adelaide Olympic’s senior men’s coach for 2026, Bouzalas will contribute to performance analysis and support the coaching team’s preparation throughout the campaign.
Former Adelaide United player and Junior Matildas representative Georgia Iannella and Lee Addison will contribute to Coaching and Player Development, with Addison focusing on Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to support each player’s progression.
Iannella brings experience across elite playing pathways, coaching and athlete development. Her background includes playing for Adelaide University and Campbelltown City, alongside her appointment as Western Strikers’ Female Technical Director.
