Adelaide United Member Representative Group

Committee Charter

The Adelaide United Member Representative Group (MRG) has been created to strengthen the relationship between the club, its devoted fanbase, and the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).

Every A-League Club has adopted this concept with a clear vision in mind, ensuring the voices of members and supporters are amplified and that diverse perspectives and issues are heard loud and clear by both Club and League leadership.

Regular communication will see important feedback from key stakeholders, the fans, that has often gone missing, presented with authority and regularity when decisions regarding strategy and operation are discussed on all levels.

The Club’s MRG was appointed through an expression of interest process, with the selection representing a diverse array of perspectives within the fanbase. Regular meetings are held with the Club, the MRG Chair, who was selected on merit and expertise, taking questions, concerns and feedback, to meetings with the APL and the Chair of other Clubs.

Adelaide United MRG Chair, Joe Aylward, said that the establishment of the MRG is a significant step forward to improve communication between members, fans and the football Club.

“Our group is a reflection of the membership base. We have people who have been here since Day 1, the Red Army, a journalist, people whose whole family attends and those who have a disability. We are a volunteer group and retain full independence from the club.

Every member has a right to be heard. Our aim at the MRG will be to relay the members voice to the Club and to the APL on all aspects affecting our members. The Club have given an undertaking to listen to these voices and work with us to continue to improve the relationship between the Club and its members”.

In the coming weeks we will be working with the Club to launch a Member and Fan survey and to establish a mechanism where feedback can be provided to the MRG regarding the lub.

In the meantime, if you have an issue you would like the MRG to raise with the Club, please contact us on mrg@aufc.com.au. Please note that all queries are sent directly to the MRG and are not filtered by the Club. The MRG will not tolerate abusive submissions and all queries regarding on-field matters will not be responded to.
