Adelaide United is enhancing its focus on youth development with the launch of a new High Performance Program for children aged seven to 13.
The program is an expansion of the current Junior Development Program offering, which helps foster the development and growth of young players in a fun, inclusive and safe environment.
Under the leadership of the club’s Head of Junior Development, Marcelo Carrusca, the new High Performance Program will offer extra training twice per week with the club’s experienced junior coaches, focusing on both technical skills and overall player development.
The High Performance Program has been created to complement the training commitments at local South Australian clubs, focusing not only on skill development on-field but also nurturing well-rounded individuals off-field.
Participants will train throughout the year with 16 sessions per school term and have the opportunity to play friendly games and in national and international tournaments.
