Adelaide United is excited to announce the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s side will return to Mildura to face Melbourne Victory in a pre-season Original Rivalry fixture at the Mildura Sporting Precinct on Saturday, 4 October 2025.
The match will form part of the One Agency A-League Festival of Sport, returning to the region for a second consecutive year, with all proceeds supporting the Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation.
Adelaide United CEO, Nathan Kosmina, said the Club was looking forward to once again bringing top-level football to the Mildura community.
“We are thrilled to be heading back to Mildura for a second year to play against our biggest rival,” Kosmina said.
“This trip provides not only fantastic preparation for our A-League season, but also the opportunity to support the local community, and in particular the Mildura Base Public Hospital Foundation, in raising valuable funds for their important work.
“We know how much the local community embraces these events, and we can’t wait to showcase the passion and energy of the Original Rivalry in front of a big crowd.”
MBPH Acting CEO, Matthew Jukes, said he was looking forward to having two of the A-League’s great teams competing in Mildura at an event that will raise valuable funds for the Foundation.
“It is going to be another great sporting occasion for the people of Mildura and the wider Sunraysia to enjoy, and indeed also for people from outside the region who will travel here for the event,” Mr Jukes said.
“The excitement is already building, and I think for families of young football players, it will be a fantastic opportunity to attend both the clinic and the matches on Saturday and make a great weekend of it.”
As part of the festival, both clubs will take part in a range of community engagement activities, including school visits, local sports club appearances, and football clinics – offering residents a unique opportunity to connect with players and coaches in the lead-up to matchday.
