Adelaide United is delighted to announce the signings of two promising young talents, striker Jake Najdovski and versatile defender Israel “Izzy” Monga, with both players committing their long-term futures to the Club.
Australian-born striker Jake Najdovski, 20, joins the Reds on a three-year contract. Having already featured in nine matches during the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season with Western United, Najdovski brings with him valuable top-flight experience alongside significant potential for growth.
Najdovski’s journey began in the NPL system before earning his first professional contract in 2022. Known for his sharp dribbling, quick decision-making, and eye for goal, he has been widely regarded as one of the most exciting attacking talents to emerge in recent seasons.

Jake said: “I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity to join Adelaide. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the league with incredible fans, and I’m looking forward to playing in front of them at Coopers Stadium and scoring goals. This move is a major step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started, meet my teammates, and give everything for this club.”
At just 17, Monga joins Adelaide United on a three-year scholarship contract. A product of the Goulburn Valley Suns in Northern Victoria, Monga made 17 senior appearances in VPL 2 and also represented NSW Country at the 2023 National Youth Championships.
Monga has the potential to be an exciting young defender – fast, strong, versatile and good on the ball – with the ability to play across multiple defending roles. His dynamic style and natural confidence have already marked him as a huge prospect for the future.

Monga: “I joined Adelaide United because I felt it was the right place for me to learn and grow. The Club has a strong history of developing young players, and I believe this is the best environment for me. I’m very happy to be here and excited for the future.”
Adelaide United Technical Director Ernest Faber welcomed the signings and backed both Najdovski and Monga to take full advantage of their opportunities.
“Both Jake and Izzy have really good prospects. With their high intensity and the right mentality they have every chance to thrive at our Club. We believe they can become important players for the Club in the years ahead.”
With Najdovski and Monga joining the Reds’ ranks, Adelaide United continues to build for the future while providing a platform for the next generation of football talent to flourish.
