Adelaide United secures trio of exciting young talents on Youth Development Agreements

Adelaide United is pleased to announce that three highly talented South Australian prospects – Gracen Blieschke (Amateur), Maeve Nicholas (Amateur) and Mia Trimboli (YDA) – have signed with the Club.

All three players have progressed through the local leagues and the Football South Australia’s elite talent pathways and will link with Adelaide United’s A-League Women’s program as part of the Club’s continued commitment to developing the next generation of homegrown talent.

Eighteen-year-old forward Gracen Blieschke joins the Club following an outstanding season with NTC SA, where she was selected in the 2025 NPL SA Team of the Year/All Stars. A product of the Adelaide Jaguars, she has been recognised as a member of the Young Matildas extended squad earlier this year, Blieschke brings creativity and a clinical edge in the final third, demonstrating impressive composure and goalscoring maturity well beyond her age.

Sixteen-year-old midfielder Maeve Nicholas, who developed through Football SA and WT Birkalla, arrives with a strong pedigree at both state and national level. Nicholas has represented Australia and won a gold medal on the international stage and was recently named the Female Rising Star at the 2025 Celebration of Football Awards. With national team experience at the U16 ASEAN Cup and the U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers, she offers a composed, technically gifted presence in midfield and an ability to influence games at a high level.

Goalkeeper Mia Trimboli, also 16, signs her YDA after emerging as one of South Australia’s brightest young shot-stoppers. Having come through Modbury Vista and NTC SA, Trimboli has represented South Australia at nationals for the past four years and helped guide FSA U16 to a Cup, league and finals treble. She has attended multiple U17 national team camps over the past three years and has been selected in extended squads for both the U16 ASEAN Cup and U17 Asian Cup Qualifiers. Known for her sharp reflexes and calm presence, Trimboli adds further depth to United’s goalkeeping stocks.

Head of Football, Marius Zanin, said the trio represent the strength of South Australia’s developing talent pool and the Club’s long-term commitment to youth.

“We’re extremely proud to welcome Gracen, Maeve and Mia into our A-League Women’s program,” Zanin said.

“Each of them has earned this opportunity through hard work, strong performances and a clear desire to grow. They have already shown the qualities we value at Adelaide United — character, resilience and a willingness to learn.”

“Our Club has a strong history of developing young South Australian players, and we believe this group continues that tradition. We look forward to supporting their ongoing progression,” Zanin concluded.

Adelaide United congratulates Gracen, Maeve and Mia on their signings and looks forward to their continued development in the Red shirt.
