Adelaide United is delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Tiarna Karambasis from Central Coast Mariners on a one-year contract for the upcoming 2024/25 A-League Women’s season.
The 24-year-old Australian joins the Reds after an impressive stint with the Mariners, where she made 11 appearances and scored a crucial goal against Adelaide United in the 2023/24 season.
Karambasis previously played for Lions FC in Queensland, where she was an integral part of the team that completed the NPL double in 2019. After overcoming injuries that sidelined her for a few seasons, Tiarna returned to Lions FC in 2022 and played a key role in what became the most successful period in the club’s history.
Karambasis expressed her excitement about joining Adelaide United, stating:
“I’m really excited to be joining Adelaide United and becoming part of the Reds family. The club’s great culture and history are exciting to me. I’m looking forward to getting down to Adelaide to start working with the coaching staff and players.”
Head of Football, Marius Zanin, is equally enthusiastic about the new addition to the squad.
“We are very excited to have Tiarna join Adelaide United. She brings a wealth of experience and offers great depth across our midfield and defensive lines.
We believe she will make a significant impact this season.”
Adelaide United looks forward to welcoming Tiarna to Coopers Stadium as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
