Adelaide United is pleased to announce Harry Crawford and his first A-League Goal as the winner of the 2024/25 CG Fintech Moment of the Season award.
The fan voted award was expanded in 2021 to include goals, saves, technical brilliance, and more, to allow our Reds family to vote on a shortlist of moments that defined our Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League seasons.
Harry Crawford’s first senior A-League goal resonated with fans on multiple levels. The rocket from outside the box against Brisbane Roar came in a pivotal point in the match to put United ahead prior to half-time of the Round 22 clash, with Crawford celebrating with his signature backflips for the first time at Coopers Stadium.
The goal also capped off a brilliant few weeks for Crawford, having only made his senior debut weeks earlier. Crawford’s debut made headline news after he was called into the squad unexpectedly when a starting player suffered an injury in warm-up. He impressed in the face of adversity, having already played 90 minutes for United’s NPL side that same afternoon.
