Adelaide United is pleased to announce Fiona Worts as the winner of the 2024/25 UCAN A-League Women Golden Boot for the second time, with 11 goals. Worts previously also secured the Club’s Golden Boot in 2021/22 with a Club record 13 goals.
The Golden Boot is awarded to the player who has scored the most goals in the regular season. Previous recipients include Rachael Quigley, Rosie Sutton, Abigail Dahlkemper, Mallory Weber, and Chelsie Dawber.
Head Coach, Adrian Stenta spoke highly of Wort’s award-winning haul in front of goal.
“Fiona has been a key member of our side in both of the Club’s most successful seasons in history, culminating in Finals appearances. Fiona is not only an impeccable goal-scorer, but also of note, is her ability to provide key assists to her teammates as well.
Fiona is exceptionally hard-working, not only in front of goal but defensively for the team. She leads the line up front and often covers the most distance in games. Fiona has also been a leader on and off the field, providing a great example for her teammates to follow.”
