Adelaide United is facing some early-season setbacks as it prepares for the opening round of the highly anticipated Liberty A-League season.
The Club has confirmed that several key players will be sidelined due to injuries but experienced midfielder Emily Condon could make her return following a long-term groin injury.
Isabel Hodgson (Ankle)
During preseason training, Hodgson suffered an ankle injury. She is set to undergo rehabilitation over the next few weeks as she builds towards a return to the pitch.
Maruschka Waldus (Leg/ankle)
Waldus is dealing with a lower leg and ankle injury that required surgery. Her recovery is progressing well, with the medical team anticipating her to be available for selection after the first couple of rounds.
Katie Bowler (Foot)
A foot injury sidelined Bowler during preseason. She will commence her rehabilitation this week and will work through the recovery process.
Emily Condon (Groin)
Condon is on the road to recovery after a groin injury ended her 2022/23 season. She has been making steady progress in her recovery and could be in line to return to the side in Sunday’s clash with Canberra.
Grace Wilson (Knee)
Wilson is nearing the end of an extensive rehabilitation period following an off-season knee injury. They have returned to training this week in positive progress to being available to play soon.
