Adelaide United can confirm George Blackwood will depart the Club to pursue another opportunity.
Blackwood, 23, joined the Reds in 2017 and scored 16 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions.
Blackwood, who won successive FFA Cups in 2018 and 2019, said: “I’ve really enjoyed my time playing for Adelaide United and being part of a team with a fantastic group of boys and staff – many of which I now consider life-long friends.
“When I came to Adelaide, I was just a boy moving out of home for the first time and I am grateful to the Club for helping me grow and develop both on and off the pitch.
“Winning two FFA Cups will always be special to me and I’m proud to have helped add to the Club’s history.
“I’m very thankful for the opportunity Adelaide United gave me and wish the boys well for next season.”
Adelaide United Director of Football, Bruce Djite, said: “George has represented the Club and himself extremely well from the moment he joined us.
“He has contributed some memorable moments to the Club’s history and should be proud of his time in South Australia.”
Adelaide United would like to thank George for his time at the Club and wish him the best for the future.
