Mirko Boland says it is a wonderful feeling to win his first piece of silverware with Adelaide United after clinching the FFA Cup 2018 Final.
The Reds showed resilience in their 2-1 win over Sydney FC in the title decider.
A pair of quality strikes from Craig Goodwin ensured Adelaide became the first side two win the trophy twice.
Boland, who joined the Club on a two-year deal over the off-season after spending a decade with Eintracht Braunschweig, was ecstatic after the full-time whistle.
“It’s great, in Germany it was difficult to win a trophy because there are so many good teams,” a delighted Boland said.
“Here is similar but to win the final is unbelievable and now I’ve been here for a few months so to win the trophy is great.
“The supporters were unbelievable, it was great to be a part of that.”
Boland was also impressed with the atmosphere generated from the four terraces of Coopers Stadium, and hoped the Reds fans would continue to show their support for this season.
