Adelaide United midfielder, Louis D’Arrigo, discusses that incredible assist in the AFF U-18 Championship Final and outlines his objectives after returning to pre-season training.
D’Arrigo played an integral role in the Young Socceroos success in Vietnam, featuring in six of Australia’s seven games as they sealed a fifth Championship.
And his most notable contribution arrived in the decider following an exquisitely executed through ball between two defenders for Brook to latch on to and score.
It was a goal made in Adelaide and hopefully for Reds fans a foreshadowing moment of what is to come for the South Australian duo in the not too distant future with the senior side.

D’Arrigo reminisced about that assist and admitted he was pleased with his decision to play the lovely weighted pass through the middle rather than on the outside of Brook.
“I was actually thinking about that goal and what was going through my head last night,” he said.
“As soon as I got it I was thinking to play it on the other side of the defender, but I thought I’d play it through the middle and a split pass through – no defender can stop that.
“So I was really happy to assist him and really happy for him to score the goal.”
The 17-year-old said he has felt great since returning from the two-week tournament and is raring to kick on with the Reds in pre-season as he aims to get more minutes with the first team.
He is also keen to continue learning off the more experienced players in the squad.
“I’m feeling really fit at the moment and feeling like I can last the 90 minutes,” D’Arrigo explained.
“But obviously it’s a bigger tempo here but I’m feeling really fit so hopefully I just take that into training and hopefully the games in the upcoming games (friendlies) for maybe the FFA Cup.
“So I’m trying to push for that now and back into focus for Adelaide United and just to work off the older midfielders as well and to be a regular in the team.”
