Adelaide United is thrilled to confirm that Erin Healy will remain with the Club for the 2025/26 Ninja A-League Women season, after a clause in her contract was triggered following a standout debut campaign.
Healy made an immediate impact in her first season with the Reds, scoring eight goals in 19 appearances and emerging as one of the competition’s most exciting attacking talents.
Her impressive performances were recognised with the 2025 Dianne Alagich Medal as Adelaide United’s Most Valuable Player, along with the RAA Members’ A-League Women Player of the Year award. Healy’s influence in the final third, composure on the ball, and consistent performances earned widespread acclaim throughout the league.
Capping off a remarkable debut year in Australia, Healy was recently called up to the Republic of Ireland Women’s National Team for the first time, qualifying through her Monaghan-born grandfather. The 24-year-old has joined Ireland’s UEFA Women’s Nations League squad for crucial matches against Türkiye and Slovenia.
Originally from San Diego, Healy expressed her excitement about continuing her journey with the Reds.
“I’m so happy to be in Adelaide for another season,” Healy said. “It’s been a really special year for me — both on and off the field — and I’ve loved representing this Club.
“We have a great group here, and I can’t wait to get back to work and help push the team even further next season.”
Head of Football, Marius Zanin, added:
“Erin’s commitment to the upcoming season is a fantastic reflection of what we’re creating at this Club.
“She’s a top-quality player and an even better person, and we’re excited to see what she can achieve in her second year with the Reds.”
Healy’s return is another positive step as Adelaide United works hard to carry the momentum from an encouraging 2024/25 campaign into the upcoming 2025/26 Ninja A-League Women season, with the Club focused on building a squad ready to compete at the highest level.
