With finals approaching, striker Bruce Djite is itching to get back into the mix of selection after overcoming an ankle injury.
After the squad was put through a solid training session this morning, the robust forward says he is over the injury niggles that has disrupted his progress this season and is ready to go if he is called upon.
Frustratingly for Djite, who turns 26 on Monday, he has only played 50 minutes of a possible 900 in the Reds’ last ten games.
Djite will be pushing for a return in United’s final home game of the regular season against the Central Coast Mariners on Sunday. Tickets for the match are available through Ticketek.
