In accordance with Football Federation Australia and Federal and State Governments’ protocols related to COVID-19, Adelaide United’s Round 23 match against Newcastle Jets will proceed this Sunday.
The health and safety of Adelaide United members, fans, players, coaches, and staff remains paramount to the Club.
The Club understands the anxiety some have around COVID-19 and recognises it is very much an individual’s decision to come to the game or not. The Club does not want to add to fans’ anxiety, however they can be assured Adelaide United is receiving direct advice from State Government and will continue to monitor the situation over the coming days and weeks.
Adelaide United will work closely with Adelaide Venue Management to ensure ample precautionary measures are implemented for the benefit of anyone who wishes to attend Coopers Stadium on Sunday.
Should there be any change to the directive provided by FFA or Government, Adelaide United will communicate with all relevant stakeholders, members, and fans.
Further communication will be forthcoming with regard to safety protocols for the game.
