Adelaide United forward, Hiroshi Ibusuki, says earning three points against the reigning Isuzu UTE A-League Champions is crucial.
Ibusuki opened the scoring for United in their 4-2 victory over their eastern opposition with a deft, glancing header at the near post, following a typically brilliant Craig Goodwin set-piece.
And whilst the second half performance wasn’t as clinical as the first, which saw Carl Veart’s men lead 3-0 at the interval, Ibusuki is satisfied with the way he and his teammates saw-out the match.
Ibusuki’s assessment:
“I think we did a good job today.
“Today, the most important thing was the win, so we’re very happy with this.
“I’m happy with my performance, but I have to be better.
“My physical condition is good, but I still need to learn more, but I think the team did well today and played with a good intensity.
“They (Western United) came out harder in the second half because they were 3-0 down and had nothing to lose.
“They came with more pressure, but it’s okay because we won.
“Next week against (Melbourne) Victory is important and we have to prepare 100 per cent and get the win.”
