Adelaide United can advise midfielder, Nathan Konstandopoulos, has ruptured his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during training on Monday morning.
Konstandopoulos, who successfully recovered from the same problem on his opposite side just this season, will undergo surgery today to begin repair of the injury.
Adelaide United’s Director of Football, Bruce Djite, said: “This is just devastating news for Nathan and the Club and we’re all feeling for him at this time.
“We saw how determined and professional Nathan is to return from such a major setback, and we have are confident that he will return from this one.
“Nathan will have our continued support as he begins his recovery and rehabilitation in a bid to return to football.”
