Adelaide United is pleased to confirm the re-signing of Isabel Hodgson for the impending Westfield W-League 2019/20 season.
Hodgson, who first played for the Reds between 2013 and 2016, returned to United last year having just completed her college season with East Tennessee State University.
The 23-year-old scored one goal in seven matches in her fourth season with Adelaide before moving back to the United States to finish her degree.
After graduating, Hodgson returned home in June and joined local Women’s National Premier League side Adelaide City.
The winger scored eight goals in nine matches for the Black and Whites which included netting the equaliser in the Grand Final against West Adelaide on their way to a 2-1 extra-time win.
Head Coach, Ivan Karlović, said Hodgson’s signature adds another attacking option to the squad.
“Isabel showed last season she is more than capable of playing at the W-League level after coming back from America,” he said.
“She will provide us good competition in attack and I’m looking forward to seeing her continue her development.
“The squad is coming together nicely now and there will be a couple more signings to come in the not too distant future.
“We’re not too far away from the season starting and will be ramping things up in the coming days in preparation of Round 1.”
Hodgson has accumulated 22 appearances for the Reds, scoring one goal across her two separate spells with the Club.
