Jenkins takes home peer-voted award after sensational January

Claudia Jenkins has been voted by her peers as the winner of the Austraffic PFA A-League Women Player of the Month Award for January

Jenkins’ rise to prominence has been one of the great stories of the A-League Women’s season to date.

Jenkins has been Adelaide’s first-choice keeper this season after usurping Annalee Grove and hasn’t looked back, solidifying herself as one of the in-form goalkeepers in the competition.

She’s kept five clean sheets this season – which is the second most in the league – and has played a huge role in helping the Reds rise up the table into third place heading into February.

Jenkins has made 3.8 saves per match which is the fourth most in the entire league and has a save percentage of 73.6% (third best in the league).

Jenkins will receive a specially designed ball from our partners at Park SCC as a result of winning the Player of the Month and will choose to donate 10 balls to one of three charities – Football Empowerment, KitAid Australia and Football United.
