Jordan Elsey Bids Farewell to His Boyhood Club

Adelaide United can confirm that Jordan Elsey will depart the Club at the conclusion of his contract on 1 July 2025.

A proud product of South Australian football, Elsey made 145 appearances for the Reds and scored seven goals during his tenure. A true servant of the Club, he was a key figure in Adelaide United’s historic 2015/16 Premiership and Championship-winning side, and also lifted the Australia Cup (formerly FFA Cup) twice, in 2018 and 2019.

This season, he made four appearances, scoring once in the thrilling 4-4 draw against Auckland FC.

Head of Football, Marius Zanin, paid tribute to Elsey’s contribution:

“Jordan has been a long-standing pillar of our Club and someone who embodies what it means to represent Adelaide United. We thank him for his service and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”

Elsey also shared his thoughts, reflecting emotionally on his time at the Club:

“This Club means everything to me – it’s where I grew up, made my debut, and shared unforgettable moments like winning the Championship with my hometown team. Leaving is incredibly tough because of my love for Adelaide United, but as they say, that’s football. I’m truly grateful for the journey and wish the Club nothing but success moving forward.”

The Club extends its sincere gratitude to Jordan for his dedication and professionalism, and wishes him every success in the next chapter of his career.
