Members’ Representative Group: Nominations now open

Adelaide United has opened nominations for members to participate in the Club’s inaugural Members’ Representative Group (MRG).

The A-Leagues Club CEOs and APL Executives met in-person on Monday, 1 May 2023 to review the work that has been in development since earlier in the year on supporter consultation.

The development process included benchmarking global best practices and consulting with local stakeholders to establish the best model for Australasia, with agreement reached to formalise the proposal across all A-Leagues clubs.

The MRG will involve a cross-section of each club’s fanbase for the Isuzu UTE A-League and Liberty A-League to ensure that fan voices can be heard and considered in decision making on key matters. A Chair will be elected from this group to represent their club in the newly formed League Fan Representative Group and minutes from the group meetings will be shared between the Clubs and the League and published on official channels.

Clubs are committed to ensuring fan voices are involved in the issues that affect them, with work now commencing to formalise groups with representatives from across fan bases.

Adelaide United have since decided to open up nominations for members to participate in the Club’s inaugural MRG, which will help increase member input and involvement into the Club’s operations.

Members will be selected from across the Club’s membership base, with a mixture of membership categories, membership types, membership lengths, demographics, and ages. There will also be a representative(s) from Adelaide United’s Active Support Group, the Red Army.

Candidates must be aged 18 or over, be current members of the Adelaide United Football Club, and be able to attend MRG meetings in Adelaide, South Australia.

To be considered for the group, interested Members will be required to complete the below online application process. Applications close on Wednesday, 31 May 2023.
