Net Gains: Adelaide United Solidifies Goalkeeping Squad with Grove and Jenkins

Adelaide United is thrilled to announce the contract signings of two formidable goalkeepers, Annalee Grove and Claudia Jenkins, ahead of the upcoming A-League Women (ALW) season.

Grove has penned a two-year deal with the Reds, while Jenkins has signed on for one year, solidifying the Club’s goalkeeping ranks.

Annalee Grove, who has been a key figure in Adelaide United’s defensive line, brings a wealth of experience with 53 appearances and 9 clean sheets to her name.

Fresh off being part of the squad that won the Go Sunny Solar WNPLSA Premiership and WSL/WNPL Cup with West Adelaide, Grove gained valuable experience in the dressing room and is now ready to perform with the Reds.

“I’m absolutely delighted to extend my time with Adelaide United,” Grove said.

“I’m excited to see what this season will bring with a new and strengthened squad.”

Claudia Jenkins, a returning face to the Reds, has committed to a one-year contract.

Jenkins, who has previously played four games for Adelaide United, has recently celebrated winning the Go Sunny Solar Women’s State League Premiership with Campbelltown City, aiding their promotion to the WNPLSA for the first time.

Jenkins, who transitioned to goalkeeper after starting her career as a left-back, honed her skills in the US College system and under the guidance of Matilda’s legend, Melissa Barbieri.

“I’m really excited to be back at United for another season.

“It was great to get some game time and great training this offseason and I can’t wait for the challenges of the 24/25 season,” Jenkins said.

Adelaide United’s Head of Football, Marius Zanin, expressed his confidence in the pair, stating, “We’re very fortunate to have two such talented goalkeepers in Annalee and Claudia.

“We have full faith in their potential to make a significant impact this season and congratulate them on their successes thus far,” Zanin concluded.

As Adelaide United prepares for the upcoming ALW season, the Club is confident that the signings of Grove and Jenkins will provide a solid foundation for a successful campaign.
