Adelaide United forward, Zach Clough, says the Reds’ 3-2 win over Western Sydney Wanderers was evidence of the quality his side contains.
A headed brace from centre-back, Ben Warland, and a Hiroshi Ibusuki finish saw-off Western Sydney on Friday evening.
The win solidifies United’s spot in second place on the Isuzu UTE A-League table, opening up a six point gap with its nearest challengers.
Following the match, Clough spoke to Paramount+ to dissect the, at times, frantic match.
Clough said:
“I think you could see how much it means to both teams, the result of this game.
“We gave everything and we showed some real quality going forward to come here and score three goals.
“(The difference) is small margins, but we want to win every single week and we’re 11 unbeaten now.
“We’re showing how good of a team we are.”
