Adelaide United is excited to announce the formation of a new leadership group for the upcoming 2024/25 season, aimed at strengthening the Club’s on-field performance and fostering a winning culture.
Returning as captain is the resilient Ryan Kitto, who has consistently demonstrated his commitment and leadership abilities across his long standing tenure with the Club.
Joining Kitto in this pivotal role are vice captains Stefan Mauk and Isaías. Both players bring a wealth of experience and skill having been former Club captains themselves, making them ideal leaders to support Kitto and guide the team through the challenges of the season.
Mauk, known for his dynamic play and strategic mindset, will play a crucial role in motivating the squad. Isaías, with his deep understanding of the game, strong presence on the pitch and Club legend status, will serve as a key mentor for younger players.

In addition to the leadership group, the Club has established an internal mentorship program featuring seasoned players Bart Vriends, Zach Clough, and Javi Lopez.
This initiative aims to foster growth and development within the squad, providing younger players with invaluable insights and guidance from those who have navigated the rigours of professional football.
Adelaide United’s Head of Football, Marius Zanin, expressed confidence in the leadership team.
“Having a strong leadership group is essential for our success,” said Zanin.
“Ryan, Stefan, and Isaías embody the values of our Club, and their experience will be vital as we strive for excellence this season.
“The mentorship program will further enhance our team dynamic and ensure that our younger players have the support they need to reach their full potential.”
The leadership group’s formation and the mentorship program signal Adelaide United’s commitment to building a competitive and cohesive team, mixing the experience of Reds legends with the talents of South Australia’s young footballers.
