Adelaide United will hold a ground-breaking joint training session involving both the Club’s men’s and women’s teams at Coopers Stadium on Saturday morning.
Both teams will train together for the first time in the Club’s history as preparations continue ahead of the start of the A-League and Westfield W-League 2020/21 seasons.
The fans’ day, presented by the Club’s new Platinum Partner, Australian Outdoor Living, offers a fantastic opportunity for fans to show their support ahead of the fast-approaching campaigns.
Latest Reds signing, Tomi Juric, will also join the A-League squad in training for the first time since his arrival after completing his quarantine, with both the A-League and Westfield W-League trophies on display.
Entry is free and following training, fans will get to enjoy a kick on the Coopers Stadium pitch and, thanks to Australian Outdoor Living, the Red Army will be providing a sausage sizzle. Fans can also help the Red Army create a tifo which will be unveiled at our first home game of the year against Melbourne City on Sunday, 3 January 2020.
Merchandise will be on sale for your last-minute Christmas gifts, while a membership tent will be available for those looking to sign up and be there for the big moments.
There will be a McDonald’s inflatable on the back pitch, and our Supply Partner, Utonic, will be distributing Kombucha.
Speaking ahead of what is a pioneering moment for the Club, Reds A-League midfielder, Louis D’Arrigo, said: “I’m looking forward to tomorrow morning’s joint training session.
“It will be quite a unique experience and one that’s really exciting for the Club.
“It’s going to be great to see all the fans come out just before Christmas and to celebrate what’s been a crazy year for us all.”
United’s Westfield W-League winger, Isabel Hodgson, said: “Getting the opportunity to train with the boys is going to be really fun.
“It kind of bring both teams closer together and will be pretty special when we take to the field with them tomorrow.
“Everyone’s had a tough year this year and to end it by everyone being together at Coopers will be great.”
