Adelaide United return to Coopers Stadium on Sunday night aiming to extend their perfect home record, with Head Coach Airton Andrioli emphasising the team’s confidence and focus ahead of the Round 7 clash with Brisbane Roar.
Following a difficult away trip to Wellington, the Reds are determined to reset and continue their strong form in front of their home supporters.
Andrioli on returning to Coopers Stadium…
“It’s good to be back home. Our form at Coopers has been excellent, so we’re just hoping the boys can replicate what we’ve been doing in the home games. It’s always nice to be here with our supporters. We’re looking forward to the match.”
Andrioli on last week’s loss to Wellington…
“We probably didn’t play our best game. We had good moments, and other moments where we were a little bit inconsistent, especially in the first half. But that’s behind us now. Our focus is on Brisbane on Sunday.”
Andrioli on facing Brisbane Roar…
“Every game in the league is going to be tough this season. Judging by the results we’ve seen, any team can beat anyone on the day. Brisbane have been consistently strong and are a very tough opponent to play against. We need to be ready.”
Andrioli on squad health…
“Generally, the squad is healthy. All the players are available and ready to go, and they’ve been training well. We have no issues in that regard.”
Andrioli on the double header at Coopers…
“It’s always good to see both teams playing. It’s nice to see the girls play ahead of us. Hopefully the crowd can come a little early to support them as well, and hopefully they can also get a result. We always look forward to playing at Coopers, and we hope our supporters will be here in big numbers, like they normally do.”
