Adelaide United is excited to announce the signings of Matildas prodigy, Mary Fowler, and Ciara Fowler for the upcoming Westfield W-League 2019/20 season.
Mary, 16, has already received four caps with the Australian Women’s National Team after making her senior debut as a substitute against Brazil in 2018.
The forward is considered one of the most promising players in the women’s game with her signature a huge coup for the Club.
Fowler, who last played for Bankstown City in the NPL NSW Women’s 2019, was included in the Matildas squad that competed in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup back in June.
She has also been a part of the Future Matildas and Young Matildas, scoring 17 goals in 10 appearances with the latter and like her sister, was named in the training camp for the AFC U-19 Championship in Thailand next month.

Meanwhile, Ciara, arrives from Bankstown and played 11 league games for the Lions this year.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who is also in the Young Matildas squad, is known for her passing accuracy and composure in possession.
Head Coach, Ivan Karlović, praised the pair’s arrival at the Club, hailing their quality, saying: “To secure the signings of these two very promising, young footballers is fantastic for our team and Adelaide United as club, and we’re very excited to be welcoming them to the Reds.
“Both Mary and Ciara have experience with the national set-ups and this will certainly help us as we head into the new season.
“Their quality will help to lift our standard and I’m sure they’ll be a perfect fit to our dressing room chemistry.
“It will be a new experience for Mary and Ciara playing in a different state, but I’m confident this adventure will help them continue to develop both on and off the park.”
