Adelaide United will take on Brisbane Roar in an Elimination Final on Saturday 25 April, with the Reds’ path through the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series now confirmed following the conclusion of the regular season.
As the curtain falls on a nail-biting regular season, the fixtures for the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series have been locked in, and the pathway confirmed, for the top six’s road to Championship glory.
History-making Melbourne City, who claimed their third consecutive Premier’s Plate in the penultimate round of the season, has secured a week-off and a two-legged Semi Final showdown against the lowest placed Elimination Final winner.
They’re joined by Wellington Phoenix in the other Semi Final, with the New Zealand side securing their highest ever finish in the Ninja A-League, and a date with the highest placed Elimination Final winner in the second, two-legged Semi Final.
The first week of the Ninja A-League 2026 Finals Series will see two do-or-die Elimination Finals. Canberra United, through to their first Finals Series in five years, will host Melbourne Victory in the first Elimination Final on Saturday 25 April at McKellar Park. Victory leapfrogged the Mariners into sixth spot in the final round with a 1-0 away win over Perth Glory.
The second Elimination Final will see Brisbane Roar host Adelaide United on Saturday 25 April at Spencer Park. The Roar clinched fourth spot with a nail-biting 2-1 win over Canberra United on Saturday, which saw Matildas’ goalkeeper Chloe Lincoln save an injury-time penalty to secure all three points and a home Final.
A-Leagues CEO, Steve Rosich said: “This season of the Ninja A-League has been one of the most even in the competition’s history, with three of the top six places all changing in the final round of the regular season.”
“It sets up a really exciting Finals Series across Australia and New Zealand with five teams from four different states, and Wellington – who have qualified for their first ever Finals Series – battling it out for Championship glory.”

The two-legged Semi Finals will be played in the first and second weekend in May, with the top two teams hosting the second leg. The highest placed team from the regular season that qualifies for the Grand Final will earn the right to host the 2026 Ninja A-League Grand Final to be played on the weekend of 16-17 May.
