Adelaide United is delighted to announce it has completed the signing of Sian Fryer-McLaren for the impending Westfield W-League 2020/21 season.
Fryer-McLaren returns to the Reds having last been at the Club during the 2018/19 campaign and has accumulated 24 appearances between 2008 and 2012. Across the 2012/13 and 2014 seasons she joined Sydney FC and played a further 11 matches.
Most recently, the 29-year-old spent the offseason with Salisbury Inter in the Women’s National Premier League (WNPL).
Speaking on putting pen-to-paper with the Club, Fryer-McLaren said: “I’m really happy to be re-signing with Adelaide United again.
“I’ve spent the last couple of seasons away from the Club, working on my personal life and my career, and I feel now is a really good opportunity for me to re-join the squad again.
“This is season I want to perform consistently and I’m looking forward to doing my best for the team and showing my full potential for this Club.”

The Club’s Westfield W-League Head Coach, Adrian Stenta, said: “Sian has experienced many seasons at the W-League level and knows what is required to succeed.
“She enjoyed a successful season with her local club, Salisbury Inter, and we’re confident she can continue that form into the W-League with Adelaide United.”
Adelaide United’s Head of Women’s Football, Ivan Karlović, added: “We are extremely pleased with the formation of the squad with Sian bringing a wealth of quality and experience.
“We feel Sian is one of the best women’s goalkeepers in the state and are very happy that we’ve secured her for the upcoming season.”
