Adelaide United is delighted to announce the signing of promising young goalkeeper Max Vartuli on a three-year contract from Sydney FC. The 19-year-old shot-stopper joins the Reds after showcasing his potential as one of Australia’s most promising young goalkeepers.
Having previously honed his skills in the youth ranks at Sydney FC, Vartuli has steadily built a reputation as a potential future star in Australian football. Max also spent a year long loan move in Denmark with Aalborg BK last season, and was part of the team that was promoted to the Superliga.
Adelaide United’s Goalkeeper Coach, Eugene Galekovic, is excited about Vartuli’s addition to the squad.
“Max is a young goalkeeper with immense potential. His attitude, work ethic, and skill set make him a perfect fit for us and I cannot wait to get started with him.
“We believe he has a bright future ahead, and we’re thrilled to have him join the Reds.”
Vartuli (19), who has represented Australia at various youth levels, is eager to begin this new chapter of his career with Adelaide United.
“Joining Adelaide United is an absolute privilege, and I’m incredibly excited to be part of such a respected club. I believe this is the right environment for me to continue developing as a goalkeeper, especially because the club has a strong history of giving young players like myself the opportunities we need to grow and succeed,” said Max.
“I can’t wait to learn my trade under the guidance of Eugene Galekovic, who has been an inspiration to many aspiring goalkeepers. Working with him is a dream come true, and I’m eager to contribute to the team and make the most of this incredible opportunity.”
Head of Football, Marius Zanin said:
“We pride ourselves on our strong track record of developing young goalkeepers, and Max Vartuli is the latest talent to join that tradition.
“Our commitment to nurturing young players remains strong, as we believe that investing in youth is key to the future success of the club.
“Max has shown exceptional promise, and we’re confident that under the guidance of our experienced coaching staff, he will continue to grow and make a significant impact with us,” Zanin concluded.
Vartuli will be joining his new teammates immediately as they prepare for the upcoming season. The entire Adelaide United community welcomes Max to the club and looks forward to his contributions on and off the pitch.
