A special thanks to all who embraced the concept of a transferred away game to Hindmarsh Stadium last Friday night.
A special thanks to all who embraced the concept of a transferred away game to Hindmarsh Stadium last Friday night.
The club always understood that the concept would present some issues and confusion but it was great to see many Reds supporters take advantage of the chance to see the team LIVE an additional time.
Reflecting on Friday night, we would like to convey our appreciation to RSL-SA and CEO Sam Jackman for their efforts in co ordinating what was a moving tribute to Remembrance Day in the ceremony prior to kick-off. It can be said that everyone at Hindmarsh embraced the moment and was befitting recognition of what the day is about. The inaugural Tomas Dale Medal, which was decided on by the referees, was awarded to Iain Ramsey for his outstanding contribution and sportsmanship in the game.
Finally to the Red Army at the northern end, thank you for the fantastic tribute you displayed pre match with the Aussie flag. You are the loudest, most colourful and loyal supporters in the Hyundai A-League – keep it up…the team and everyone at the club truly appreciate it.
Following the match in Auckland against the Phoenix on Saturday, it is all back to normal at Hindmarsh the following week with a Friday Night clash against the Newcastle Jets on November 25. Look forward to seeing you there.
