Ahead of Adelaide United’s #OriginalRivalry encounter with old foes Melbourne Victory, Opta has provided the key statistics for the clash.

The Reds won their last away game over Melbourne 1-0, and in the process ended a five-match losing streak across the border against the Victory.

Consequently, Adelaide will now be vying for successive away triumphs against the Victory for the first time.

United have netted seven of their 16 goals from outside the 18-yard box this season, the highest percentage of any team in the Hyundai A-League (44%).

Adelaide midfielder, Isaias, who will miss the match due to injury, has made a league high 146 recoveries by an outfield player this season.

Reds centre-back, Taylor Regan, has recorded an impressive 47 clearances in just 7 Hyundai A-League matches this campaign.

Adelaide’s dynamic full-back, Ben Garuccio leads the team in interceptions (70) and crosses attempted with 83.

Argentine playmaker, Marcelo Carrusca, created four chances for his Reds teammates versus Newcastle Jets last week, and successfully converted the decisive spot-kick to win the game.

United attacking midfielder, Riley McGree, boasted a passing accuracy rate of 92% against the Jets and also showed his defensive qualities – winning two of his three tackles.
