October 17, 2013 will mark the ten year anniversary of the historic first match ever played by Adelaide United FC after the club-s inauguration.
On that day ten years ago, Carl Veart-s 38th minute goal saw the newly formed Reds defeat the Brisbane Strikers 1-0 in front of a sell-out crowd at Hindmarsh Stadium.
As we start to prepare to celebrate the club-s ten year anniversary, a special commemorative logo has been created by the Adelaide United FC History Committee, with particular thanks to Shaun Kastelijn.
The logo was designed to take elements of the club’s original logo and incorporate it into the current logo, while highlighting the ten years of the club’s existence.
The club will use the commemorative logo in the lead up to and throughout the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 Season. Part of this will also include taking a trip down memory lane and looking back at the club’s journey over the last ten years.
Further details of the club-s Ten Year Anniversary celebrations will be outlined in more detail in due course, so keep checking the website for the latest.
