The Reds are Heading to Mildura for the A-League Festival of Sport!

Adelaide United is excited to participate in the One Agency Mildura A-League Festival of Sport, set to take place on October 4-5 at the Mildura Sporting Precinct (MSP).

This festival marks the first of three annual events planned through 2026, bringing elite A-League football to the region for the first time.

On October 5, Adelaide United’s ALW team will face Western United at 2:00 pm, followed by the ALM team playing Brisbane Roar at 4:30 pm. Gates open at 12:00 pm.

In addition to the matches, a Junior Soccer Clinic will be held on October 4 giving local children the chance to improve their skills and meet A-League players. Adelaide United Coaches will also be attending a workshop on Friday evening, sharing their insights with the Mildura coaching community.

Terry Welch, CEO of the Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH), highlighted the dual impact of the event:

“Importantly, this fantastic event will bring the community together to enjoy a great family day out at the Saturday matches and for the kids and parents to enjoy the fresh air and a day of fun and exercise at the clinics on Friday,” Mr Welch said.

“The added benefit of course is that the proceeds of the event will support our new skin cancer screening vehicle, which is going to be a game-changer for the people of the northern Mallee and indeed across the state.”

Adelaide United CEO Nathan Kosmina also expressed his enthusiasm:

“We’re thrilled to be part of this event, not only showcasing top-level football in a new region but also supporting a great cause that will benefit communities across the country.”

All proceeds will go to MBPH’s mobile skin cancer screening vehicle, which is set to launch in 2025, offering cutting-edge care to regional areas.

More than 4,000 people are expected to attend, making this a landmark event for Mildura.

Tickets can be purchased online at milduraartscentre.com.au or at the gate on the day.
