Take your marks, get set, go! Reds stars Sergio van Dijk and Iain Ramsay were on the start line for the Weetbix TRYathlon.

Ambassadors of the event that aims at inspiring children to get active in a fun-filled environment, Van Dijk and Ramsay were at West Lakes to give their encouragement and support to over 800 kids who were taking part.

The Adelaide leg of the biggest kids triathlon series in the world saw the kids participate in traditional triathlon sports swimming, cycling and running, and while the round ball game that van Dijk and Ramsay are more familiar with was not among the activities, the duo were still more than happy to be involved.

The Weetbix TRYathlon comprises of nine events around Australia from January through to May for kids aged 7-15.

In the weeks leading up to the event, van Dijk and Ramsay also hosted a number of kids for a short exercise and stretching session at Hindmarsh Stadium to promote the importance of warming up and cooling down, as well as keeping hydrated and maintaining a healthy diet.
