Reserves Head Coach, Paul Pezos said his team are primed and ready for the Grand Final spectacle against MetroStars at The Parks Football Centre on Sunday afternoon.

More silverware and to be crowed the Champions, is the goal for Pezos and the Young Reserves, after what was a successful season for the Premiers.

The Adelaide United Reserves were victorious in both legs of the Major Semi-Final, against their fellow Grand Finalist, MetroStars.

A 2-0 win in the First Leg gave the Reserves a solid lead for the Second Leg.

But, a 4 goal stunner at Adelaide City Park saw Pezos’ side rocket through to the Grand Final, as Aladin Irabona, Ninko Beric and Bradley Ballentine found the net with ease.

However, Pezos noted that the Final will be a different game, providing more nerves and pressure as MetroStars will be looking to exploit them.

“The Grand Final on Sunday will be a totally different game than normal,” Pezos said.

“There will be more pressure and nerves, despite it being MetroStars, it won’t be any less challenging.

“Metro will surely analyse our past two matches and look to exploit our weaknesses, and also do their homework on us.

“How we play to our strengths and attack, having beat them twice in the Semi-Finals.”

Despite Metro being more on their tail, Pezos admitted that nothing with change regarding tactics and game-style.

“We will also exploit their weaknesses, as we have achieved already.

“And nothing changes in preparation, we will continue to work on the same and play our football.

“We will have an extra day to prepare, and will train on Saturday morning.”

The young footballers are excited ahead of their Grand Final berth, and their focus is set straight.

“We are very excited ahead of Sunday,” Pezos continued.

“We want nothing more than to win, so we will keep our focus and try to do what we do best.”
