Craig Goodwin is one of the most decorated players in Adelaide United's history. The 30-year-old returned for his third stint with the Club back in February on loan from Saudi Arabia side Al-Wehda and extended his stay until the end of the 2021/22 season. The winger made an instant impact, scoring eight goals in 18 matches and marked both his 100th Adelaide United appearance and 100th A-League Reds appearance with goals against Macarthur FC and Melbourne Victory respectively, while clinching the Club's Golden Boot. Goodwin netted 10 goals in 55 league games between 2014 and 2016 and won the A-League Premiership and Championship double in 2015/16. His influential campaign was punctuated by winning the Aurelio Vidmar Medal and earned a move to Dutch Eredivisie outfit Sparta Rotterdam before returning to Adelaide in 2018. He bagged 15 goals in 33 appearances and won the FFA Cup 2018 with an incredible brace against Sydney FC. His personal accolades that season included the Mark Viduka Medal and the Adelaide United Golden Boot.
