Joe Gauci returned to his hometown ahead of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2020/21 season after a stint with Melbourne City. A product of West Torrens Birkalla, the goalkeeper has also spent time with Central Coast Mariners and Adelaide City. Gauci made his A-League debut for the Reds in a memorable 3-1 win over Melbourne Victory following an injury to James Delianov. The then 20-year-old would impress playing in 10 consecutive games before an injury truncated his season. Nevertheless, Gauci’s eye-catching performances would result in a new two-year extension with the Club.
