Cristiano’s wonder strike vs Al-Ahly – 18/12/08 @ International Stadium Yokohama
Cristiano had experienced a quiet tournament in front of goal at the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup in Japan. However, in the fifth place play-off against Egyptian outfit Al-Ahly, he wrote his name all over the tie with a phenomenal seventh minute strike. The striker won the ball before breaking forward and arrowing his effort into the top right corner from 25 yards out.

Alemão’s rocket vs Wellington Phoenix – 18/12/09 @ Hindmarsh Stadium
Alemão was never afraid of venturing forward and trying his luck from range and the attacking right-back showcased just why against the Phoenix in Round 20. The Brazilian collected the ball from just in front of the half-way line and dribbled at pace to goal. With no defender applying any real pressure to close down the space, he dispatched an absolute thunderbolt which dipped and swerved past the ‘keeper’s right side, breaking the deadlock in the 57th minute.

Carrusca’s sumptuous curling finish vs Melbourne Victory – 07/12/12 @ Hindmarsh Stadium
After setting up Fábio Ferreira’s audacious finish with a deft touch three minutes earlier, Marcelo Carrusca went from provider to scorer. Bruce Djite threaded a pass to the vacant Argentine and he struck his shot first-time. His effort curled in off the left upright leaving the outstretched Victory gloveman helpless, as Adelaide went on to claim a 4-2 triumph.
