Adelaide United wishes to advise winger, Bernardo, has undergone successful surgery.
Bernardo suffered a fracture of his right fifth metatarsal whilst on international duty with the Young Socceroos in San Pedro del Pinatar, Spain.
Following advice from Club Doctor, Dr James Ilic, and foot and ankle orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Ben Beamond, surgery was deemed the best method of recovery for the 18-year-old.
The surgery was a success and it is expected that Bernardo will miss three months of competitive football.
Everyone at Adelaide United wishes Bernardo a swift recovery and will support him over the coming weeks, as he returns to football.
