Adelaide United’s Junior Development Program is set to kick off Term 3 next week, with a significant update: participation in either Term 3 or 4 is now necessary for entry into the High Performance Program for 2025.
The new requirement for the High Performance Program in 2025 is a way for our coaches to have a better understanding of participants skills and potential and adds an extra layer of motivation for participants to excel.
“We’ve decided to move away from trials for the High Performance Program to allow for a more thorough assessment of players over an 8-week period.” said Marcelo Carrusca, Head of Junior Development
“This approach will give us a better opportunity to evaluate participants skills and potential in a more comprehensive way,”
Under the leadership of Carrusca, the program has garnered positive feedback from earlier sessions in Terms 1 and 2 this year.
As Term 3 approaches, Carrusca is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities it will bring.
“We’ve seen great growth and interest in the program during the earlier terms,” Carrusca remarked.
“Expanding to new venues and maintaining high coaching standards are key priorities as we head into Term 3”
Term 3 will also see the program’s Northern location move to Elizabeth Grove Soccer Club.
“We’re thrilled to bring the program to Elizabeth Grove Soccer Club and collaborate with such a strong club in the North” Carrusca explained.
Term 3 of the Junior Development Program is poised to begin next week at three locations: St Clair Oval, Elizabeth Grove SC and The Cove FC, Southern Soccer Facility.
We’re also excited to launch a girls only Junior Development Program at Jubilee Reserve, West Lakes. The program will run from August 23 to September 20.
