Anselmo de Moraes says he’s ready to make his mark in the final stretch of the season, as United prepare for a crucial run of three games with Finals firmly in sight.
After a frustrating campaign disrupted by injury, the Brazilian midfielder is beginning to find his rhythm – and with it, a renewed sense of purpose.

“I feel more comfortable now, more confident,” he said.
“I just need to go game by game… and give my best for the team.”

“You don’t have another option,” he said.

“I want to win this championship,” he said.
“We have three games, three opportunities. Every game now is like a final.”

“I like this type of game,” he said.
“The team fights for every ball… it’s strong, it’s physical — and we play well.”
Off the pitch, life in Adelaide has also helped fuel his resurgence.
With his family now settled, Anselmo has found a sense of balance and comfort away from football — something he says has been vital.
“My family loves Adelaide,” he said.
“My children are happy, they’re in school, they have friends… it’s a good life here.”
That stability has allowed him to focus fully on his football — and on what he can bring to the team in the weeks ahead.
With United pushing towards Finals, Anselmo’s message is clear.
He’s ready to compete, contribute and offer something something different.
And as the Reds prepare for a huge test against league leaders Newcastle Jets, he sees it as another opportunity to take a step forward.
“It’s a very good opportunity,” he said.
“We go there to win… we need to win.”
