Persistence personified
Tarek Elrich has established himself as one of the competition’s most consistent performers for some time now, especially with the Reds. However, like any professional it was not always smooth sailing for Elrich.
Following a successful seven-year spell with the Newcastle Jets, which included winning the Hyundai A-League 2007/08 Grand Final, Elrich would experience the lows of plying his trade in the beautiful game a few years later.
A move to the Western Sydney Wanderers in 2012 proved less fruitful, after struggling to cement a regular starting berth. Consequently, his Hyundai A-League career was shrouded in uncertainty as the side released him at the end of the 2012/13 season.
Without a club, Adelaide threw Elrich a lifeline in 2013, and as the old adage goes: the rest is history.
