Adelaide United is delighted to announce midfielder, Ethan Alagich, has signed a scholarship deal with the Club.
Alagich, son of Reds legend, Richie, was one of the most consistent performers for the Young Reds in the local National Premier League (NPL) South Australia this past season.
For United Youth, the 18-year-old scored one goal in 22 appearances and would later make his senior debut for the Reds as a late substitute in the FFA Cup 2021 Round of 32 against Floreat Athena.
In doing so, he became the third father-son combination in the Club’s history and second to appear after Bernardo Oliveira – son of Cássio.
Speaking on his promotion to the senior side, Alagich said: “Signing with my hometown Club is an incredible feeling.
“It was an amazing experience to make by debut back in September and the Club is a great environment to continue developing.
“Adelaide United has always meant a lot to my family and I and I’m very thankful to have been given this opportunity.”
Adelaide United Head Coach, Carl Veart, said: “Ethan is a very good player with a lot of potential.
“Training in an elite environment will only continue his development further and we’re excited to see how far he can take his game.”
