Adelaide United Chief Executive Officer, Grant Mayer, remains confident the Club’s current membership growth trend will continue throughout the season.
With Adelaide United setting a benchmark of 10,500 members by season’s end as a minimum, the Club are well on the way to achieving the milestone after announcing it has reached 5,033 members before the end of June.
Adelaide United CEO, Grant Mayer, praised Reds fans for their tremendous efforts so far for committing to the Club for season 2016/17.
“We’ve made it public that we want to hit 10,500 members by season’s end,” Mayer said. “To do that we set the goal of first reaching 5,000 members by the end of June.
“To have achieved it with still a couple of days to spare is a fantastic accomplishment for the Club and shows that the people of South Australia are backing our boys ahead of the new season.
“And if you compare our figures to last season, it’s been an amazing show of support so far because we had only just over 2,000 members at the same time last year.”
But while the initial milestone has been met, Mayer has once again urged United supporters to get on-board with the Reds by joining as members, in what he believes will be another very successful season.
“After the heights we reached last season, our desire to go on and be successful again is just as great, if not greater,” he continued.
“We’re hungry for more success and we want as many people as we can to join the Club in what we see as potentially being our most successful period in our history.
“Of course, we don’t expect everyone to be jumping on as full-season members, but there are plenty of membership options that can suit anyone.
“Give us a go and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by the football we play, or the amazing atmosphere at our matches.”
