Adelaide United vs Central Coast Mariners ADLvCCM Round 5 2016/17 season tickets

Adelaide have recently boasted the upper hand in this fixture, triumphant on seven of the last eight regular season encounters against the Mariners. Moreover, the Reds are also currently experiencing a four-match winning streak against the Gosford based outfit.

The last time Central Coast tasted success in the city of churches occurred in March 2013 and since that 2-0 win they have yielded 15 goals in five successive away losses against United.

After being unable to record a victory in the opening four rounds, Adelaide will be desperate to avoid becoming the first defending Hyundai A-League Champion to start a campaign winless after five rounds since Sydney FC in 2010/11.

Central Coast have circumvented defeat in two of their previous three away matches (D2, L1), incidentally it is as many as they had in their 18 games prior (W1, D1, L16).

The Mariners have made 2,192 passes this season, 200 greater than any other side and possess the highest passing accuracy in the league (82%). However, in spite of enjoying more possession than any other side this season (58%), the Mariners have fired the least amount of shots than any other team in the competition (35).

Guillermo Amor’s men have also committed 100 interceptions thus far this season – the most in the Hyundai A-League and 30 more than the Central Coast.

Adelaide United host Central Coast Mariners in Round 5 of the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season on Sunday, 6 November at Coopers Stadium. Kick-off is at 4.30pm ACDT.
